Introduction to the Temple ofLuxor
Luxor Temple was built for the worship ofAmun-Re, the death and Khonsu, the gods also called 

Tibi title Trinity (Trinity good), on the old foundation established during the periods of the Middle Kingdom and the era of transition II and the beginning of the modern state.


The most important temple of existing buildingsare those built by the kings Amenhotep III - Fromthe Eighteenth Dynasty, Ramesses II - from theNineteenth Dynasty.

The cabin was destroyed three that had been builtbefore, in the reign of Queen Hatshepsut and KingThutmose III of the Eighteenth Dynasty; and thenrebuilt in the reign of King Ramses II.

The kings in the later periods change some of themural inscriptions, eg, scenes of rejoicing"Shepenwepet" from the reigns of Tutankhamunand Horemheb; as well as scenes of the sacredboat cabin in the era of Alexander the Great


The throne of Tutankhamun is made of woodcovered with gold and silver and adorned withsemiprecious stones and colored glass.

The scene on the record shows the queenanointing the king. The sun's rays ending in hands, radiate the royal couple.

The king wears a crown composite and a widecollar. The queen, meanwhile, wears a tiara.

Their bodies and their wigs are inlaid with exquisite stained glass and robes are silver.

The seat of the throne is guarded by two lions' heads protruding, while the arms take the form oftwo winged serpents wearing the double crownand protecting the names of the king.

A wooden stool was also used to support theking's feet. It is engraved with images representing the subject's enemies North and South of Egypt,known as the "Nine Bows", bound and lying on theground.
